NEPA Democratic Candidates Unite for Joint Primary Voter Registration and Food Drive in Honesdale
Devlin (HD-111), Azzollini (HD-139), and Baker (SD-20) join forces the day before Pennsylvania's primary registration deadline
HONESDALE, PA — With Pennsylvania's primary voter registration deadline falling on May 4th, three northeastern Pennsylvania Democratic candidates will host a community voter registration drive in Honesdale on Sunday, May 3rd. Kyle Devlin (PA House District 111), Dominique Azzollini (PA House District 139), and Jackie Baker (PA Senate District 20) are joining forces to ensure that every eligible voter in Wayne County has the opportunity to make their voice heard in the May 19th primary election.
The event reflects a coordinated grassroots effort across three overlapping districts, bringing together candidates running for state house and state senate seats to meet voters where they are. Wayne County is one of the few rural Pennsylvania counties experiencing population growth creating both new voters and new organizing opportunities.
Alongside the voter registration effort, the event will serve as a community food drive benefiting Nobody Wayne Community Aid Network, a local organization providing food assistance to Wayne County residents in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations, and toiletries. Donations will be collected at Wayne County Democratic Headquarters throughout the event.

QUOTES FROM CANDIDATES
Kyle Devlin, Candidate, PA House District 111:
“For over 30 years, the Republican status quo has had a stranglehold on Harrisburg. The May primary is our first step in smashing that status quo, and we want to make sure every eligible voter is registered and their voice is heard.”
Dominique Azzollini, Candidate, PA House District 139:
“Most people have busy schedules so it can be tough to find time to register to vote. Creating an event where people can register to vote at the same place they donate food, provides an incentive to register. This unique opportunity supports our neighbors in need while ensuring every community member’s voice is heard at the polls this year.”
Jackie Baker, Candidate, PA Senate District 20:
“Our right to vote must be protected at all costs, it's the foundation of democracy. Everyone who is able to vote deserves the chance to be heard. Ensuring they can is the best way to build a Commonwealth that works for us all”
